Sienna Browne is an undergraduate artist at CSULB who is getting ready to graduate this spring. Her work mostly explores the struggles of her eating disorder and deal a lot with food. More recently, however, she got over her eating disorder and has been focusing on other types of projects. For example, she had a few month long ultraviolet series in which she made 8 foot tall mixed media paintings, and her most recent project is her Nuudles work.
In her works, Sienna uses a lot of lines and colors. With her most recent Nuudles, she uses many new and interesting shapes and sizes that are modeled after sea weed to make interesting and inviting patters with fun and vibrant colors. She uses varying sizes for her canvases. Her work ranges from smaller paintings and drawings to huge, 8 foot tall sculptures and ultraviolet paintings.

The majority of her work is about her eating disorder and how it effected her. It sends a powerful message about how something that many of us take for granted can be a huge part of someone’s life. She wants to take her art and use it to shake up the boundaries of fine and commercial art. She would like to make prints of her Nuudles and put them on surfboards, skateboards, board shorts, swimsuits, and many other fun and interesting canvases that people can purchase and wear.
To me, her art is really intriguing. I love all of the bright and vibrant colors that she uses, but at the same time, some of her art can be about a dark and unfriendly subject. There is something about her art that gets my attention and holds me there. She is very talented, and I would like to see what she does with her art in the future.
